Obituary for Daniel Garcia Ramos

Daniel Garcia Ramos Sr., 66, of Twin Falls Idaho left this earth to be with our father in heaven on November 8th 2021. He passed away in his home after many years of dedicating himself to his true passion, his business, Gem State Security.

He was born May 2nd, 1955 in a small town called Bracketville, in the great state of Texas, to Rosa G. Gonzalez. Daniel was the oldest of seven children.
He left school at an early age to begin working in order to help raise his brothers and sisters. He proudly became the man of the house.

Daniel had lived a full life and was a man who had never shied away from hard work.
After growing up working in the fields, and driving truck he became a guitar player/singer in a Christian band. He loved sharing beautiful music and the gospel wherever he traveled. He had been all over the US from Del Rio, TX to Burley, ID, finally settling in Twin Falls and taking ownership of his business nearly 20 years ago.

His private security company was the first in Twin Falls to adhere to new licensing almost 13 years ago. He was featured in the Times News for this accomplishment. Daniel single handedly owned and operated one of the largest security companies in the Magic Valley.

Daniel enjoyed watching his two son’s play baseball as kids, a shared passion of theirs.
Another passion of his was Tejano music. He kept a radio station out of Texas streaming through his home and car radios at most times.

When Daniel's youngest daughter gave him another grandson, it brought new joy to his life. He enjoyed sharing pictures and stories with friends and family about “Mr. Oliver” as he would refer to him.

The only disappointment Daniel ever expressed was that of not being able to travel back home to Texas to visit his other grandchildren and great grandchildren more. He knew his business was not just a full time job, but his life. He hoped his family would understand and never forget how much he loved each and every one of them. He was proud to know that his kid’s were thriving in their individual lives, and he had succeeded in his job of raising them.

In his later years he often told friends and family that he felt best when he was out working. There was nothing he loved more than being out in the community and making everyone feel safe. He was one of Twin Falls most trusted individuals, to which he was immensely proud.

Daniel is survived by his two son’s and daughter: Daniel Ramos Jr, David Ramos, and Shania Burck, along with her husband Christopher Burck. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Siblings: Salvandor Gonzalez, Elia Gutierrez, Richard Ramos, Ruben Gonzalez, Ruth Doria, Joe Gonzalez, Rachel Garcia, Edward Gonzalez.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Serenity Funeral Chapel at 502 2nd Ave N, Twin Falls, ID 83301.

A quote that Daniel lived by was, “Business comes first. While your heart may be yearning for love, your head knows putting career matters first makes sense.“
