Obituary for Janeal May Long

Janeal Long, of Twin Falls, passed away unexpectedly on October 20. She was 80 years old.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Max and Mary Black. She moved to Twin Falls in 1960 with her husband, Larry Andrus. Together they had 4 children.

She worked as a secretary for their business BS&R and later they opened Idaho Restaurant Service. In 1980 they opened Escape Salon where she worked as the receptionist up until she retired. She truly enjoyed visiting with all the clients and made many lifelong friends at Escape. For those who knew her, know she loved to talk!

In 1993, she married Richard Long. He passed away unexpectedly in 2005. She never remarried.

In her earlier years, Janeal enjoyed traveling. Her favorite places to see were Hawaii and Jamaica. Every year, Janeal and her family would take camping trips with a special group of friends to Hepgen Lake in Montana and Strawberry Reservoir in Utah. She loved boating on the lakes.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie, grandsons Shaun and Jesse, great-grandson, Carson Andrus and her sister, Mary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rich, one brother, and 2 children, Shauna and Steve.

She was loved dearly and will be missed until we meet again. We find peace knowing she was greeted in Heaven by those she loved so much who passed on before her. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial on November 7 at 11 a.m.
