Obituary for Joseph Houdeshell

Joseph "Skip" Houdeshell, 78, of Buhl, died Monday, November 2, 2020, at River Rock Assisted Living, Buhl, Idaho.

Skip was born in Iowa May 4th. 1942 and passed November 2nd. 2020. Born to Jack and Thelma (Maddox) Houdeshell. He grew up in Iowa and California, graduating from Yreka High School (CA.) in 1960. Sometime after graduation Skip joined the United States Navy. After a short time he was discharged due to medical reasons.

Skip moved to Idaho in 2009 to be closer his brother Bob. Soon after he began visiting the West End Senior Center. It was there he was met by greeter Norma Chandler spawning a friendship lasting until his final days. His final years he lived at River Rock Assisted Living in Buhl. Many thanks to the staff for the care and friendship.

He is survived by his sisters, Lavonne (CA.), Carol (IA.), and a brother, Bob (CA.); children, Jack (Dianne), Dean (Sheryl) and 8 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Ray and Virgil.
