Obituary for Norman Lee "Norm" Stombaugh

Norman Lee “Norm” Stombaugh, 79, of Buhl, ID passed away at St. Luke’s in Twin Falls on Monday, August 24, 2020. 

Norman was born on Feb 27, 1941, in Buhl, ID son of Bill and Winifred Stombaugh. Norman attended school at Castleford, ID graduating in 1959, then enlisted in the US Army until 1963.  Upon return, Norman married Linda Dixon on March 3, 1964, in Buhl, ID. Norman worked at Rangen Inc in Buhl until his retirement after over 35 years there, but then returned as part-time help. He liked to go camping, fishing and enjoyed woodworking. He enjoyed being with family, friends, and playing cards.

Norman is survived by his wife Linda; daughter, Sandra (Ed) Bishoff; sons, Kevin (Cheryl) Stombaugh, Jamie (Karen) Stombaugh, and his sister Eileen (Bill) Gardoski. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Winifred Stombaugh; brothers, Wallace and Jerry, and sisters Eunice Hamilton, Betty Fisk, and Patricia Potter.

No services are planned at this time.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  A special thanks to St. Luke’s of Magic Valley and Vision Hospice for the wonderful care of Norman.
