Obituary for Tammy Baxter
Tamara (Tammy) Lynn Baxter age 60, of Jerome Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 22, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Her mother, Caryl Beck, sister Carla Hamilton, and husband Steve were by her side.
Tammy was born on November 23, 1960 to Caryl and Ambrose Beck in Maquoketa, Iowa. She grew up in Spragueville, Iowa where she attended Preston High school, graduating in 1979. She later attended Clinton Community College where she earned an associates degree in Liberal Arts. While attending Clinton Community, she worked for Dr. Schrody, D.D.S.. She later attended the University of Iowa and the University of Utah. Tammy began her career with United Health Care Insurance Co., which spanned nearly 30 years, winning numerous awards for excellence, quality control, and performance. While living in Midvale, Utah, she met Steve Baxter of Jerome, Idaho, and the two were married, December 5, 2002.
Tammy enjoyed sewing, needlework, and collecting antiques. She had a great love of all animals. She and Steve have 2 dogs, a cat, and together raise honey bees.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Caryl Beck; one sister, Carla (Bill) Hamilton; two brothers, Lenn (Cheri) Beck, Andrew (Ellie) Beck, and her husband Steve. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Ambrose Beck.
